Zone3 Partners with New England Endurance Events
June 2, 2021
BOSTON – Athletes racing some of the East Coast’s most iconic triathlons will be introduced to the emerging triathlon brand Zone3 during this upcoming season. The British company, which has established a U.S. presence over the past year, will play a key role at events directed by New England Endurance Events (NEEE).
Zone3 will be the provider of awards to overall and age group winners at all of NEEE’s seven races — including the East Coast’s oldest triathlon, the Hyannis (Cape Cod) Triathlon — as well as other events such as Sea to Summit Triathlon, Falmouth Triathlon and SOS Cape Cod Triathlon.
“We cannot wait to be back to racing and spending time with the endurance sports community,” said Ryan Dolan, president of Zone3 USA. “The team at New England Endurance Events have been putting on top quality community-based events for such a long time and we at Zone3 USA are excited to be taking care of all the swim and triathlon needs of NEEE and their racers.”
“Zone3’s rise to prominence on the international stage has been well noted by coaches and industry insiders,” said Andy Scherding, a partner with NEEE. “Zone3 is a triathlete-owned and managed company, as are we, so we share similar perspectives on what today’s athletes need to be successful in the sport.”
Zone3’s product line ranges from triathlon wetsuits, goggles and swim accessories to training and race wear — including compression and fitness apparel. The company was founded by former professional triathlete James Lock in 2007.
New England Endurance Events stages a series of conventional Olympic and sprint distance races as well as unconventional “adventure triathlons,” which attract competitors from around the world. Its first 2021 race, the Hyannis Triathlon on June 12, has been designated by USA Triathlon as the Massachusetts State Championships for the fourth year in a row.
