Introducing Ultra X Nevada

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Global ultra-marathon events series, Ultra X launch their first race in the USA, a 5 day, 220km race around Red Rock Conservation Area and the Spring Mountain Recreation Area, adding to their collection of life-changing experiences.

About this Race

Organisers, Ultra X have specifically designed this 220km five stage ultra marathon to ensure that each stage is totally unique and the event showcases the diversity and beauty of the country.

“The appeal of operating outside Las Vegas was always in the contrast – the world knows Vegas for the flash and lights, but too few (like myself until 7 years) ago know about the amazing natural beauty, diversity, and spectacular trail systems that lie just outside the city limits. So we created a course to showcase the full range of it – 5 days from 8500 feet down to 3,000 – from views of snowy alpine mountains and evergreen trees by Mt. Charleston, down to desert basins and cacti and colored rock formations around Red Rock – a true showcase of the American Southwest. With this, Ultra X Nevada is one of the most creative masterpieces I’ve been blessed to contribute to.”

Ultra X Nevada 2024 is not just an ultra-marathon; it’s a test of will, an exploration of limits, and an immersion into the raw beauty of nature. Participants will navigate a meticulously designed course that showcases the diversity and splendor of Nevada’s backcountry. The course is an ode to challenge and change, with each stage presenting a unique experience.

Dates: 21-25^th October 2024

Stages: Five distinct stages ranging from 30km to 70km

Support: Checkpoints every 10km offer water, shelter, medical and therapist aid

Accommodation: Campsites spotlighting local splendour, with medical care and hot water

After the final stage on Friday, participants will have a chance to enjoy their first taste of ‘real food’ that week. The race organisers host a big BBQ around the campfire celebrating the success of every single competitor. The prize giving and awards ceremony also takes place at this point.
