TYR Sport Signs World Champion Michael Andrew

Seal Beach, CA – April 14, 2021 – TYR Sport is proud to announce the signing of World Champion Michael Andrew.

In 2015, Andrew burst onto the swim scene as the FINA Male Swimmer of the meet at the World Junior Championships, winning a gold, three silvers, and a bronze medal.  His success continued at the 2016 World Short Course Championships, where he won his first senior international medal with a gold in the 100 individual medley. Breaking three world records at the 2017 World Junior Championships, he was able to complete his junior career with another 3 gold medals.

Andrew has had continued success on the world stage, helping to secure a Bronze medal at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships in the 400 mixed medley relay, and then winning an individual Gold in the 50m freestyle. In 2019, he won his first long course World Championship medal as a member of the 4×100 medley relay.

As a member of team TYR, Andrew will join sponsored swimmers including Olympic Medalists Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel, Ryan Lochte, Lilly King, Melanie Margalis, Tom Shields and Kelsi Dahlia, as well as Olympians Molly Hannis and Ashley Twichell.
