Tucson Bicycle Classic Announces Exciting New Rio Nuevo Criterium p/b Visit Tucson in Downtown Tucson

February 11, 2025 – TUCSON, AZ /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Tucson Bicycle Classic (TBC) is thrilled to announce the addition of a brand-new Rio Nuevo Criterium p/b Visit Tucson, made possible by the generous support of two key sponsors: Rio Nuevo District and Visit Tucson. This exhilarating event will light up downtown Tucson on Friday, February 21, adding a fourth stage to the beloved TBC race weekend.

The Rio Nuevo Criterium p/b Visit Tucson will feature elite cyclists from around the world competing in a high-speed, multi-lap race through the vibrant streets of downtown Tucson. The course will start and finish off Cushing Street, just behind the DoubleTree Hotel, creating a dynamic spectator experience in the heart of the city.

In addition to the elite cycling action, the Rio Nuevo Criterium p/b Visit Tucson will feature a Family Fun Ride at 6:30 PM, an inclusive event inviting cyclists of all ages and skill levels to take a spin on the same downtown course as the pros. Families can enjoy a safe, car-free route through the heart of Tucson, creating unforgettable memories in a fun, active environment.

The Rio Nuevo Criterium p/b Visit Tucson kicks off at 5:00 PM, with races running until 9:00 PM, offering a prime-time showcase of athleticism and skill under the glow of downtown lights.
