TRITON welcomes Brazil to The Series!

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Starting in 2024 Brazil is one of TRITON’s new destinations. Two destinations are coming, Salvador – Bahia and Rio de Janeiro.

The first event of the season will now be TRITON 1 Salvador, Bahia and will take place on April 14^{th –} – 2024.

About Salvador.

Spread over cliffs on Brazil’s central-eastern coastline, Salvador (officially Salvador de Bahía) is a city with a magnificent setting combined with an exciting, energetic atmosphere. Explore a picture-perfect historic center, visit eclectic art galleries, relax at beach suburbs and be part of flamboyant festivals. Founded by the Portuguese in 1549, Salvador was Brazil’s capital for over 200 years. Today, it’s the spiritual home of the country’s Afro-Brazilian culture.

At its heart is Pelourinho, a district dominated by 17th and 18th-century churches. Among these are Our Lady of the Rosary of Black People and São Francisco Church and Convent of Salvador.

Next up to be launched in Brazil is the amazing city Rio de Janeiro, that gave the name to the famous music from Caetano Veloso, “Cidade Maravilhosa”.

The event in Rio will, however, bring some major news to the series to be announced very soon. Stay tuned!

Next up and last race of the season: Portimão – Algarve, Portugal.

TRITON 3 Portimão is a stage triathlon taking place over the course of 3 consecutive days, the swim on day 1, bike on day 2 and run on day 3.

The swim takes place on Friday afternoon starting at 4 pm and ends on Sunday with the run that starts at 9 am. This way a 3-day stage race feels just like a regular trip, allowing arriving on Friday and leaving on Sunday.

Take part in the last race of the season with the best weather and place in all of Europe!
