Thousands of Riders Participate in 41st Annual Life Time Chequamegon MTB Festival presented by Trek

September 14, 2024

Participants traveled to Northern Wisconsin from across the world, representing 40 states and nine countries

Cable, Wis., (Sept. 14, 2024) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The 2024 Life Time Chequamegon MTB Festival presented by Trek, owned and produced by Life Time (NYSE: LTH), brought more than 2,800 riders to northern Wisconsin on Saturday. The Chequamegon MTB Festival is the oldest and longest-running mountain bike race in the country, drawing cyclists from around the world for the iconic event.

A weekend focused on fun for the whole family, participants rode one of three distances – Chequamegon 40-miler, Short & Fat 16-miler, or Little Loggers loop. Riders ranged in age from 2 to 80 years old, representing 40 states and 9 countries.

“For more than 40 years we’ve been gathering friends and families of all cycling levels and abilities for an unforgettable experience in Wisconsin’s North Woods,” said Peter Spencer, Event Manager at Life Time. “The Life Time Chequamegon MTB Festival is a celebration of the off-road cycling community and a tradition unlike any other.”

The unique point-to-point 40-mile course began in downtown Hayward, Wis. and followed parts of the famed American Birkebeiner Ski Trail, taking racers on forest roads and snowmobile trails with short, punchy climbs to the finish line at the Great Hall in Cable, Wis. At the finish line, riders and spectators were met with food trucks, cold beer and live music to celebrate their accomplishments and close out the weekend.
