This Race Director Wants More Black and Brown Athletes to Try Cyclocross

In early April, Randy Locklair, 41, the membership director for the Century Road Club Association (CRCA) in New York City, announced that he was starting a cyclocross team called BE Cyclocross. And the team was to be focused on getting more Black and Brown athletes into the sport. Locklair put a call out in the NYC area for any POC athlete interested in trying ’cross, no experience necessary; he will even provide a ’cross bike to everyone on the team, knowing the high cost of entry into the sport.  Yahoo!
