The Rock Fight Podcast Welcomes Industry Veteran Eoin Comerford as Regular Commentator
December 5, 2024
Comerford offers insider insights into the latest industry news and trends
San Diego, CA – December 5, 2024/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ —The Rock Fight Podcast is excited to announce that Eoin Comerford, a seasoned leader and innovator in the outdoor industry, will join the show as a regular commentator. Comerford’s extensive experience and unique insights will elevate the podcast’s mission to provide deeper commentary and thought-provoking discussions for the outdoor industry and community.
“The outdoor industry has lacked the level of discourse you see in sports, entertainment, and technology,” said Colin True, co-founder of the Rock Fight Podcast Network and host of The Rock Fight podcast. “We’ve started to change that, and having someone like Eoin raises the bar. He’s built a following of people who are passionate about the business of going outside and we are thrilled that this allows us to tackle a wider range of topics with authority.”
Comerford’s career in the outdoor industry began in 2008 as the VP of Marketing at Moosejaw. After being promoted to CEO in 2012, he led Moosejaw through years of profitable growth and its acquisition by Walmart in 2017. As a Global Officer VP at Walmart, Comerford oversaw the outdoor category for Walmart.com from 2017 to 2020 and contributed to product development under the Moosejaw and Ozark Trail brands. Following Walmart’s sale of Moosejaw to Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2023, Comerford worked to integrate Moosejaw into Dick’s Public Lands outdoor retail chain. His career spans every form of retail, from specialty and e-commerce to big box and mass, and he has collaborated with outdoor brands ranging from start-ups to global multinationals. Comerford’s leadership has driven progress in the industry, including the introduction of one of the world’s first responsive e-commerce sites in 2011 and co-founding the Outdoor Diversity Alliance in 2023. Today, he is the Principal at Outsize Consulting, where he advises outdoor-active brands, retailers, and investors.
“I’ve always been a ‘tell it how it is’ kind of person, so I really appreciated Rock Fight’s no B.S. style when it launched –something that is sorely lacking in the outdoor industry,” said Comerford. “As a guest on the podcast, I felt a good connection with Colin and Producer Dave. It felt like some old industry friends talking about what’s what. Becoming a recurring contributor just felt like the natural next step.”
Comerford will appear every Monday on The Rock Fight to lend his voice to a wide range of topics, from emerging trends in outdoor consumer goods and sustainability to the economic forces shaping the future of outdoor recreation like the potential for incoming high tariffs in 2025, as highlighted in his latest episode. Listeners can look forward to compelling debates, expert insights, and Comerford’s trademark wit and wisdom.
The Rock Fight Podcast continues to grow its footprint as a trusted and entertaining resource for outdoor enthusiasts, adventurers, and industry insiders alike. With Comerford joining the lineup, Rock Fight further cements its commitment to delivering insightful, relevant, and inspiring content.
