The Life Time Rad Dirt Fest Returns to Trinidad for the Fourth Annual Event

September 29, 2024

More than 1,000 cyclists took to the remote and rugged Spanish Peaks for miles of first-class gravel riding

TRINIDAD, Colo., (Sept. 29, 2024) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Life Time Rad Dirt Fest, a premier gravel cycling event owned and produced by Life Time, returned to the breathtaking Spanish Peaks of Southern Colorado this weekend. More than 1,000 cyclists, representing 40 states and 11 countries, tackled three unique courses with distances of 40, 70 and 110 miles.

From seasoned professionals to weekend warriors, participants pushed their limits on champagne smooth gravel roads, winding through the rugged mountain terrain and climbing thousands of feet in elevation. The unique courses coupled with the welcoming and vibrant community of Trinidad, made for an unforgettable experience for cyclists and their families.

Festivities kicked off Friday afternoon with an expo and three shake-out rides to help cyclists prepare for the day ahead. Following finish line festivities and awards ceremonies on Saturday, athletes were invited to an after-party bar crawl at four local Trinidad businesses to toast to the accomplishments of the day.

New this year, the Life Time Rad Dirt Fest served as a qualifying event for the 2025 edition of Life Time UNBOUND Gravel. Finishers of the 70- and 110-mile Rad Dirt Fest events were eligible to earn an entry and bypass the lottery of the popular Kansas race.

“It was a spectacular Rad Dirt Fest today, from all angles,” said Tamira Jenlink, race director for the Rad Dirt Fest. “The weather was perfect, the riders were amazing, and as always, the community is incredible. We look forward to seeing welcoming everyone back to Trinidad next year again!”
