/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Golden Trail World Series, the preeminent global trail running circuit, lands in Marin at the Headlands 27k powered by Salomon on September 14 and 15. This 27k looped course features many of the Marin Headlands and Mt. Tam’s most historic trails, Dipsea, Matt Davis, Bootjack, and Coastal to name just a few, collecting roughly 4,000-feet of elevation gain and descent.
Event director Jeffrey Stern said, “I’m thrilled to bring the Golden Trail World Series to the San Francisco Bay Area, Marin Headlands, and Mt. Tam in 2024. The area is a mecca for trail running with race history going back to 1905 and it will be an honor to have the opportunity to showcase portions of our world class trail network to runners from around the globe come September.”
Registration opens on Wednesday, 2/14 at 12 p.m. PST on Movemint, a cutting-edge event management platform committed to redefining endurance events founded by an ex-Strava Engineering Leader Zachary Isaacs. “We couldn’t be more excited to support the Headlands 27k in bringing world-class trail racing to Movemint’s backyard in Marin,” Isaacs said.
Race sponsors include Salomon, Fractel, Avive, Injinji, HydraPak, GU Energy Labs, Kahtoola, Skratch Labs, Patrick Reagan Running, Mamahuhu, Best Day Brewing, and San Francisco Running Company.
The first 100 runners who register will be entered to win a pair of Salomon shoes.
