The DONNA Foundation Announces Destination Marathons Partnership

Area nonprofit celebrates its 20th anniversary year with international partnership

Jacksonville, Fla. –– August 18, 2022 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The DONNA Foundation today announced a partnership with Destination Marathons, LLC for the 2023 DONNA Marathon Weekend, February 2-5, 2023, which culminates with The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer™.

The partnership features a true VIP race experience offered through Destination Marathons, a travel tour company that specializes in managing all logistical details of a trip so guests can focus on the race, build friendships and create memories. Destination Marathons, based in Charlotte, NC, has been creating VIP packages for runners since 2018.

Their mission perfectly aligns with this year’s theme, Destination DONNA, celebrating DONNA Marathon Weekend as a beautiful destination race that brings thousands of runners to Jacksonville from around the world — and reinforces the Foundation’s destination vision of a future without breast cancer as it celebrates its 20th anniversary year.

The race package is open to all runners and was custom-designed with input from the Galloway organization. Jeff Galloway, a 1972 Olympian and the pioneer of the run-walk-run method, has been a supporter of The DONNA Foundation since its founding. Perks included are opportunities to interact with Jeff Galloway and Galloway National Program Director Chris Twiggs; a free Galloway-designed training program with custom coaching available for an additional fee; clinics designed to improve every runner; a speaker panel with well-respected members of the running community; fun team-building activities on the beach; and a Galloway Group shake-out run to kick off the 2023 DONNA Marathon Weekend experience.
