The 13th Annual Visit Tuscaloosa Half Marathon, 5K draws over 1,900 participants from 43 states

TUSCALOOSA, AL (March 31, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ –The 13th Annual Visit Tuscaloosa Half Marathon took place Saturday morning and saw over 1,900 participants take on the course. Slightly overcast conditions lead to a great race morning for all who participated. The event offered three different distances: a half marathon, 5K, and one-mile fun run.
Following the races, participants enjoyed the Post-Race Party with live music from The Mojo, and refreshing post-race food.
The half marathon saw Jacob Plocher of Gautier, Mississippi takes first place and set a new course record at 1:12:54. From Oxford, Mississippi, Walt Johnson secured second place at a time of 1:15:26. Rounding out the podium was Giles Jones of Starkville, Mississippi, at a time of 1:16:16.
In the women’s half marathon, Emma Bell of Demotte, Indiana, secured 1st place at a time of 1:20:53. From Jasper, Alabama, Amanda Cuomo took 2nd place at a 1:25:01, and 3rd Place was secured by Meagan Beckerson from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, at a gun time of 1:25:39.
The event is in collaboration with Visit Tuscaloosa and FRESHJUNKIE Racing.
