Team Kona 2023 Open for Applications

The Team, created by TriDot and Mark Allen, exists to support women qualified, or seeking qualification, for the 2023 IRONMAN World Championship.

DALLAS, TX – March 23, 2023 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Women from around the world are invited to apply for Team Kona 2023, a women’s racing team that exists to support and empower female athletes as they attempt to qualify and prepare for the 2023 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, HI on October 14, 2023.

The 2023 IRONMAN World Championship will mark the first time the field will be exclusively comprised of qualified women, many of whom will be racing in Kona for the first time. To support these athletes, TriDot and 6x IRONMAN World Champion Mark Allen, with more than 30 years of coaching triathletes to success in Iron-distance racing, have created a team devoted to the success of the world’s contingent of women set to converge on the Big Island in October. Joining Mark in coaching Team Kona will be Olympic Silver Medalist and IRONMAN World Champion Michellie Jones, and 3x IRONMAN World Champion Mirinda (“Rinny”) Carfrae.

Individuals eligible to apply are women who seek qualification, or have qualified for, the 2023 IRONMAN World Championship. Team members will train for Kona with their dedicated TriDot coach or use TriDot’s Mark Allen Edition, and receive special coaching guidance from Mark, Rinny, and Michellie.

Members will receive the team hat/visor and swim cap upon acceptance into Team Kona 2023, exclusive qualifier gear package upon qualifying for Kona (or immediately if they have already qualified), cost+ pricing on custom Team Kona gear and race uniforms, special rates on TriDot Pool School registration, exclusive access to the Team Kona 2023 VIP lounge hosted by TriDot at Kai Eats on Ali’i Drive during race week in Kona, and other team benefits to be announced as we get closer to the event.
