Super League Triathlon Shortlisted For Sports Technology Awards 2021

Super League Triathlon has been recognized for its outstanding innovation by being shortlisted in the prestigious Sports Technology Awards 2021.
Super League’s new format, the SLT Arena Games, which blends in real life and virtual racing, debuted last year in Rotterdam and proved a massive hit both among fans and the sport industry.
Its success and innovation has been recognized by the Sports Technology Awards 2021 as Super League is shortlisted in the Best Use of Esports by a Sports Brand category. It is alongside other huge names in the world of sport such as Formula 1 and the Extreme Networks, and underlines Super League’s position as the leading drivers of change in triathlon.
Jess Learmonth and Justus Nieschlag took the titles in Rotterdam as the thrills and spills of the new format captivated a worldwide audience. More than 600,000 viewers watched the digital live stream alone, while there was also significant global coverage of the event on broadcast channels and across the wider media.
The SLT Arena Games Powered by Zwift is coming back for 2021 with events in London on March 27 and a return to Rotterdam on April 18. The success of the format has also been recognized by broadcasters who have signed up to show the events live.
The winners of the Sports Technology Awards 2021 will be announced in a virtual ceremony on May 6.
