Spartan Race Arrives at Kelowna’s Big White Ski Resort

10-, 21- and 50-kilometer extreme endurance races announced for August 2022; athletes to face up to 60 obstacles on Big White Mountain

KELOWNA, BC (December 14, 2021) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Time to get out of your comfort zone. Spartan, the world’s leading endurance sports and extreme wellness brand, will be bringing its epic races to Kelowna, British Columbia, for the first time Aug. 27-28, 2022, at Big White Ski Resort.

Athletes will compete on Big White Mountain, tackling the rugged single track, challenging climbs, and dozens of obstacles in three races: Super 10K, Beast 21K, and Ultra 50K.

The weekend begins on Aug. 27 with the Beast, a 21K course with 30 obstacles, and the Ultra, a 50K course with 60 obstacles. The Super, a 10K with 25 obstacles, will take place on Aug. 28.

Kids races, which range from 1 to 3 kilometers for ages 4–14, will also take place both days as Spartan promotes family fitness and building resiliency for both parents and their children.

While the race will test the mettle of athletes, Spartan also brings economic and tourism benefits to the region.
