Spartan and GoFundraise Partner to Transform Lives

New “Race for a Cause” Charity Program

BOSTON, Mass. (March 11, 2020) – Leading extreme wellness and endurance brand Spartan™, has partnered with GoFundraise to create  “Race for a Cause,” a program designed to encourage Spartan participants across the US to raise funds for non-profit organizations in keeping with the brand’s spirit of community and  supporting others. The program also aids in Spartan’s mission of transforming lives, through it’s line-up of Health and Fitness events and platforms.

“Spartan is dedicated to transforming 100 million lives, and we’re excited to enlist GoFundraise to join our mission,” said Spartan Founder and CEO Joe De Sena. “The Spartan community is passionate about helping others both on and off the course and Race for a Cause will empower organizations who support very worthy causes, to generate the much needed funds and attention to further their missions.”

As part of Race for a Cause, Spartan will provide thousands of complimentary race registrations for Spartan Obstacle Course Race (OCR) events across the country to 501(C)3 organizations, who will in turn use the entries as a means to raise funds. With retail race prices averaging $100 per entry, there is an opportunity to raise significant funds for the much-deserving organizations, who are carefully vetted and selected by Spartan. Organizations already committed to the program include the American Cancer Society, Keep A Child Alive, the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and Hope for the Warriors.
