Space Performance Lab and Running Center Partners with Outside Interactive to Bring Marquee Race Course Simulations Into a Studio Setting

February 18, 2020

[New York, NY] February 18th, 2020 – SPACE Performance Lab and Running Center is now open to the public. SPACE is the world’s first anti-gravity AlterG treadmill facility with multiple AlterG anti-gravity units, high altitude training, and purified air in a natural and green setting.  SPACE uses Outside Interactive technology, which allows the user to experience famous race courses and running routes around the world without leaving Manhattan.

We’re very excited to be partnering with the Space Performance Lab and Running Center for the first of its kind running studio,” stated Gary McNamee, Outside Interactive president and founder. “SPACE is catering to runners of all abilities, but with a focus on runners who may be recovering from injury. Outside Interactive’s Virtual Runner technology will allow those same runners to learn and experience simulations of some of the most recognizable road races and routes in the country. From the Utica Boilermaker 15K, to the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run, right up to Atlanta’s AJC Peachtree Road Race, the largest road race in the US, runners can experience and enjoy these interactive course simulations while recovering without missing a beat.”

“We’re excited to be partnering with Outside Interactive and their treadmill simulator technology,” stated Barry Heyden, owner of the Space Performance Lab and Running Center. “Combining AlterG anti-gravity technology and Outside Interactive’s treadmill simulator technology with our personalized running programs, we will safely improve running speed, cardiovascular endurance, and promote recovery.”
