Flat, fast and furious course awaits racers
April 10, 2025 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – This Sunday, the highly anticipated second edition of the Michelob Ultra GFNY Miami will offer cyclists an exciting opportunity to race on a flat, fast, and fully closed 70.7-mile course. The race will start and finish at the Miccosukee Resort & Casino, located at the western edge of Miami, where riders will take in the breathtaking views of the Everglades.
“This is the race you pick to kickstart your seasons,” says GFNY President Lidia Fluhme. “It’s flat, fully closed to traffic – and in Miami! We appreciate the support of our host venue Miccosukee Resort & Casino which makes the weekend stress free with its one-stop-shop location.”
The Michelob Ultra GFNY Miami promises a unique experience, featuring a racecourse entirely free from traffic and designed for speed. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a recreational cyclist, the course offers an excellent opportunity for personal records and a fun race day.
As part of the race week activities, riders are invited to join the GFNY Miami group rides on Friday and Saturday. These fun, social rides will depart from the Ziel Concept Store and Miccosukee Resort & Casino, offering cyclists a chance to meet their fellow participants, enjoy some scenic routes, and prepare for the big race on Sunday.

The 13th annual Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship New York will be held on May 18, 2025. The race features the world’s most international peloton with riders from over 90 countries. It is so international that it’s often described as the United Nations of cycling. Athletes take on a challenging route to compete against each other, the clock, and themselves in a personal endurance challenge.

Cycling – Pro Racing
At Gran Premio New York City, professional teams race the same course as riders at the Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship NYC – but with a 10-minute head start. The second edition will be held on May 18, 2025.
Adding a women’s pro race would elevate the event further. The proposed format would have women starting 45 minutes ahead of the men’s pro race, giving them their own stage. However, the extended road closures required for this addition increase costs by $100,000.
For those interested in supporting women’s racing, GFNY is inviting companies and organizations to help sponsor this important addition. Contact GFNY to discuss partnership opportunities.
