Run Show Chicago aligns with American Cancer Society DetermiNation Team to make your miles more meaningful

April 21, 2022

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Run Show Chicago, part of the Run Show USA series of events, has aligned with the American Cancer Society DetermiNation Team at its upcoming two-day event to help promote the work DetermiNation does to help save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

Set to take place on June 4th and 5th 2022 at DES Convention Center, the event will welcome thousands of runners of all abilities, looking to shop the latest gear, get advice from the professionals and be inspired by some of the biggest names in the running world including Carl Lewis, Dean Karnazes and Sally McRae. The American Cancer Society DetermiNation Team will be at the Expo promoting its collection of events and amazing athletes who fund groundbreaking research, a 24/7 cancer helpline and programs to support cancer patients and caregivers throughout their journey. The Society has athletes of all skill levels participating in races and endurance events all over the world and will be working with Run Show Chicago to expand this team and the impact in the fight against cancer.

Christopher Bowles from American Cancer Society commented: “While most people know us for our research, we do so much more. We attack cancer from every angle. We promote healthy lifestyles to help you prevent cancer. We research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatments. We fight for lifesaving policy changes. We provide everything from emotional support to the latest cancer information for those who have been touched by cancer. And we do it all 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We can’t wait to meet more avid runners who have a heart to help us do more.”

Craig Hanratty, Event Director at Run Show Chicago commented: “Working alongside such an important cause is an incredible honour. The work American Cancer Society does to help encourage prevention, provide support and make a difference to people’s lives is unparalleled and we would encourage anyone attending the Expo to visit the team and sign up to see how you can help make a difference. For every ticket registered using the American Cancer Society code we will donate $1 to the charity.”
