RRCA Accepting Applications for 2022 RunPro Camp

Interactive camp to be hosted in Arlington, Virginia, July 28-30, provides tools and resources for recent post-collegiate runners to pursue a professional running career.

Arlington, VA /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – RunPro Camp, designed to help educate and inform distance runners interested in pursuing a professional running career after college, is now accepting applications. The 2022 RunPro Camp will be held July 28 – 30 in Arlington, Virginia. The RRCA will provide travel and lodging to qualified runners selected to attend camp and anticipates supporting up to 20 athletes this year.

Runners who will complete their NCAA eligibility by June 30, 2022, along with runners who have completed eligibility within the last 24-months, are encouraged to apply.  Applicants must be US citizens or athletes that reside in the US and have submitted form N-400 to the USCIS. The application can be found at https://www.rrca.org/programs/runpro-camp/application/. The deadline to apply is June 15.

The camp is a companion to RunPro Support, a portion of the RRCA website designed to inform promising distance runners on making the transition from collegiate to professional running. The goal of the RunPro Camp is to encourage, support, and provide the tools to educate post-collegiate runners so they can pursue a professional running career on the roads, track, trails, or Cross Country.

RunPro Camp provides opportunities for runners to meet coaches, agents, athletes from professional training centers, and elite athlete coordinators. Athletes will learn about seeking sponsorship, how to manage finances as an athlete, anti-doping compliance, and the various USATF rules governing professional running.
