RRCA Accepting 2021 Kids Run the Nation Grant Applications
May 18, 2021
RRCA to award small grants to youth running programs across the U.S.
ARLINGTON, Virginia (May 18, 2021) – The goal of the RRCA’s Kids Run the Nation program is to help establish and support locally managed youth running programs in every school and community across the US. The Kids Run the Nation Fund is designed to annually assist schools, after-school programs, running clubs, and organizations implementing or currently offering a youth running program.
Small grants ranging from $500 to $1000 will be awarded to eligible youth running programs that are gender inclusive following an application and selection process. Organizations with the IRS 501(c)(3) designation are eligible to apply, including members of the RRCA’s group exemption with the IRS. Elementary and middle schools that provide organized school-based running programs are eligible as well, including PTA or similar organized entities. No grants will be given to individuals under any circumstance. Learn more about the grant application criteria.
The grant application deadline is 5:00 PM Eastern Sunday August 1, 2021.
In 2020, eleven programs from ten states serving nearly 600 children received a total of $10,000 in funding from the RRCA. Despite sweeping event cancellations and limited club activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RRCA members, individual donors, and the Insurance Management Group (IMG) and K&K Insurance, once again showed their support for gender-inclusive, participation-based running education through their contributions to the Kids Run the Nation Fund. This program is funded by restricted contributions, and 100% of the funds received are restricted and granted, with no portion of contributions used for administrative expenses. Give today.
