ROUVY and Garmin customers can now seamlessly sync their activities through new API integration

Prague, Czech Republic / January 18, 2022 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ ROUVY, an indoor cycling platform, and Garmin^® International, Inc., a global leader of GPS-enabled products, today announced API integration support between ROUVY and Garmin Connect™. The integration enables users to seamlessly sync their activities created in the ROUVY app directly to their Garmin Connect account.

With interactive fitness booming over the last few years, the cycling season does not finish with the summer, but seamlessly moves indoors in winter. This new API integration will allow hundreds of thousands of rouvy-ing athletes to seamlessly access year-round training data, making it easier for them to monitor their performance and receive training recommendations.

ROUVY enables anyone to travel the world from home, simulating the outdoor environment indoors via the unique mixed-augmented reality technology. The combination of animated avatars with stunning, real videos provide unprecedented levels of immersiveness and fun to what was once a mundane form of training.

When logged into their ROUVY accounts, users can now opt to link their Garmin Connect account to automatically import workout activities from ROUVY, where they will be viewable in the categories of “virtual cycling” and/or “virtual running”. The final integration of all imported .fit metrics from ROUVY to advanced performance analytics in Garmin Connect (like ‘recovery time’ or ‘intensity minutes’) is to be completed by Garmin later in February.
