Ridgefield Running Company Named Best Running Store of 2022 at The Running Event

Ridgefield Running Company, located in Ridgefield, Connecticut, was named Store of the Year at the annual reception honoring run specialty retailers

Portland, ME (December 15, 2022) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Ridgefield Running Company was recently named the Best Running Store of 2022 at The Running Event (TRE) in Austin, Texas. The Best Running Stores annual awards program recognizes and celebrates the leading run specialty retailers in the US, each year naming a new Store of the Year.

“The Best Running Stores awards program is an opportunity to honor the stores and individuals that make the run specialty industry so extraordinary,” said Christina Henderson, Event Director, The Running Event. “Selecting the Store of the Year is never easy, but Ridgefield Running Company embodies exactly what it means to be a Best Running Store, leading by example in how they support their community, employees, customers, and the run specialty industry as a whole.”

For the 2022 awards program, The Running Event Team received 15,084 individual nominations from stores’ customers, communities, and employees, with 255 unique storefronts nominated in total. After a months-long evaluation and secret shop process, the 2022 Best Running Stores were selected—a total of 61 stores from across the US. Next, the Top Four stores were chosen, followed by the Store of the Year.

On December 1 at TRE 2022, the 61 winning stores were celebrated at the annual Best Running Stores Reception. Capping off a night of celebration, the Top Four stores were announced: Fleet Feet Louisville, Ridgefield Running Company, Palmetto Running Company, and Shu’s Idaho Running Company. The night ended with Ridgefield Running Company being named 2022 Store of the Year. Cat Granskog (Accessories Buyer), Casey Muminović (Marketing Manager), and Megan Searfoss (Owner and Founder) of Ridgefield Running Company came to the stage to accept the Store of the Year award.
