Registration for the 25th Anniversary of the Indy Half Marathon at Fort Ben Now Open

020 Event Will Host USATF Indiana Half Marathon Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – (March 3, 2020) – Registration for the 25th Anniversary of the Indy Half Marathon at Fort Ben is now open. The event, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, takes place in Fort Harrison State Park and features a half marathon, 5K and Kids One Mile. As part of the opening special, participants can register for discounted prices of $50 for the half marathon and $20 for the 5K through midnight on March 4.

The 25th edition of the Indy Half Marathon at Fort Ben will celebrate a quarter-century of event history Fort Harrison State Park. The long-standing traditions of premium participant amenities and a free post-race cookout will continue, along with more yet-to-be-announced participant benefits to commemorate the 25th year.

“We’re excited to celebrate the history and success of this event and its impact on the Lawrence community,” said Jed Cornforth, executive director of Beyond Monumental, “This special anniversary will give us many opportunities to give back to the participants who have supported and helped grow the event through the years.”

Runners and walkers who want an additional challenge can complete an INDYTHON – achieved by completing a half marathon or 5K at the Indy Half at Fort Ben, and a marathon, half marathon or 5K at the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon on November 7. INDYTHON’ers receive an additional award for their efforts.

In partnership with USATF Indiana, the half marathon will host the USATF Indiana Half Marathon Championships, making the event a destination for regional elite open and masters athletes. Prize money will be awarded to the top three open athletes and the top three masters athletes (based on age-graded performances). 2019 Champions were Anna Weber (1:19:13) and Jesse Davis (1:10:06).
