March 25, 2025

TUSCALOOSA, AL (March 25, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/  – Tuscaloosa is gearing up for a record-breaking weekend as nearly 2,000 runners from 43 states are set to participate in the 13th annual Visit Tuscaloosa Half Marathon, DCH 5K, and Alabama Credit Union Fun Run on Saturday, March 29, 2025. The event, kicking off in downtown Tuscaloosa, promises to not only showcase the city’s scenic beauty but also deliver a significant boost to the local economy.

This year’s event sees an unprecedented number of participants eager to experience the half marathon’s picturesque course, which winds through the Tuscaloosa River Walk, parts of the University of Alabama campus, and offers glimpses of the Black Warrior River Valley. The 5K route provides a lively loop around Government Plaza, where all races begin and conclude.

Beyond the races, Government Square Plaza will transform into a vibrant celebration hub, featuring live music from The Mojo and post-race refreshments from Coca-Cola and Michelob-Ultra (courtesy of Adams Beverage).

“Visit Tuscaloosa is proud to be the presenting sponsor for this annual half marathon and 5k, an event that continues to grow each year and one that showcases our city as a premier destination for runners and outdoor enthusiasts,” said Kelsey Rush, Visit Tuscaloosa president and CEO.  “The race offers a fantastic experience for its runners but also brings energy and excitement to our community, benefiting both residents and visitors alike.  We look forward to welcoming runners from near and far to experience all that Tuscaloosa has to offer.”

Runners can collect their race packets and browse commemorative merchandise at the Pre-Race Packet Pickup on Friday, March 28th, from 10 AM to 6 PM at Government Square Plaza.
