Ragnar and The Goal Foundation announce partnership at the Ogden Marathon and Wasatch Back

OGDEN, Utah, November 19, 2024 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Ragnar Events, the nation’s premiere host of team-based relay running events, and The Goal Foundation, which promotes community and outdoor activities in Northern Utah, are pleased to announce a partnership. Ragnar is excited to support The Goal Foundation’s signature event, the America First Ogden Marathon. The Goal Foundation is equally eager to promote Ragnar Wasatch Back, a multi-day team relay adventure.. As part of this partnership, runners who compete in both events will receive a limited-edition medal commemorating their accomplishment.

Ragnar Wasatch Back showcases the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Utah’s Wasatch Mountain Range. Starting in picturesque Cache Valley, runners traverse the stunning Avon Pass into Ogden Valley. Following a stop at Snowbasin—home to the Olympic Alpine events in 2002 and again in 2034—the course winds through fast-flowing rivers and mountain valleys, circling Park City. Participants ascend the backside of the Wasatch to reach the summit of Big Cottonwood Canyon and Brighton Ski Resort at 8,700 feet.There is no other race experience like it. In 2025, the two-day event will take place from June 13–14.

The America First Ogden Marathon, organized by The GOAL Foundation, is renowned as one of the most scenic marathons in the country. Taking place each May, the marathon draws thousands of runners and spectators to the stunning mountain backdrop of Ogden, Utah. In addition to the full marathon, runners can participate in various events including a half marathon, relay, duos (formerly assisted push), 8Mi, 5K, and Kids K, offering opportunities for all ages and abilities. The Ogden Marathon course takes runners from the pristine Ogden Valley down the Ogden Canyon, with a grand finish in the heart of historic downtown Ogden.

Finishers of both events will be awarded an exclusive medal in recognition of this commendable milestone, pictured below. The medal pays homage to the original Ragnar / Ogden Marathon collaboration a few years ago, including the mullet.
