Project Mayhem CX Announces Inaugural Cyclocross Race Series in Connecticut

Connecticut, USA /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – PMCX (Project Mayhem CX) is thrilled to announce the launch of its inaugural cyclocross race series, set to kick off this September. This new series aims to deliver a fun and exciting regional cyclocross experience that is inclusive and welcoming to all racers, regardless of their background.

The promoters of PMCX are a diverse group of organizations, individuals, and clubs from across the state of Connecticut who have come together to create a series that values input from all involved. The series’ larger equity and inclusion goals are paramount to its ethos, ensuring every participant feels welcomed and valued.

This series includes several new races, such as Hidden Valley CX, presented by the New Haven Bicycle Club, and Unwound CX, marking the first cyclocross race at Winding Trails in nearly a decade. Each event is carefully curated to offer a unique and thrilling experience. From the challenging terrain of Winding Trails to the scenic vistas at Bishop’s Orchards, racers and spectators alike can expect a high-energy atmosphere filled with excitement and community spirit.

September 14 – Pain in the Neck at Haddam Neck Fairgrounds, Haddam Neck, CT
September 22 – Hidden Valley CX at Forbes Bluff, New Haven, CT
October 6 – Newtown CX at 2nd Company Governor’s Horseguard, Newtown, CT
October 13 – Damned at the Damn at Mansfield Hollow State Park, Mansfield, CT
October 20 – Belltown Throwdown CX at Camp Ingersoll, Portland, CT
November 17 – Moran CX at Moran Middle School, Wallingford, CT
December 1 – Orchard Scorcher at Bishop’s Orchards, Guilford, CT

In addition to thrilling races, PMCX events will feature local prizes, food from local vendors, and prize equity for all categories, ensuring every participant, from first-year juniors to Elites, can win and enjoy the local flavor.
