March 5, 2020
(San Francisco, CA) – Professional triathlete, Taylor Spivey, is delighted to announce several new partnerships for the 2020 season. Spivey is a member of the U.S. National team and she finished the 2019 season ranked fourth overall in the World Triathlon Series (“WTS”) rankings. Her primary 2020 season goals are to qualify for and race at the Olympic Games in Tokyo as a member of Team USA and to earn a top three placing in the WTS rankings. Partnering with companies that share her goals is important to Spivey and she is thrilled to welcome several new companies to the team for the 2020 season.
Garmin is a manufacturer of fitness wearables and devices, including GPS-based watches, bike computers and Tacx smart bike trainers. “Since starting triathlon, I’ve used Garmin watches and bike computers, and I wouldn’t use anything else,” explains Spivey, “I depend on the data from my watch and bike computer to inform my training on a daily basis. It feels like a very natural partnership and I’m excited to be working with the Garmin team this season.”
Descente Ltd is a manufacturer of technical apparel and has signed a multi-season partnership with Spivey as the exclusive provider of racing apparel. “In triathlon, it’s important to wear a racing suit that performs equally well across swim, bike and run,” notes Spivey. “Descente has a rich history of developing technical apparel and I’m looking forward to working with a brand that pays as much attention to detail to their products as I do with my training.”
100% is a performance eyewear company that will be providing Spivey with sunglasses for training and racing throughout 2020. “100% is a brand and company that aligns itself with the best cyclists and athletes in the world,” says Spivey, “and I’m honored and inspired to be joining a world class community, who always give 100%!”
Another new partnership for Spivey in the 2020 season is French wetsuit manufacturer, Aquaman. These four new partners join the group of companies that have supported Spivey in recent seasons and will continue to do so in 2020: Science in Sport, JOLYN, the New York Athletic Club and the Poissy triathlon team.
