Pensacola Beach’s famed open-water swimming event back for 2025

Pensacola, FL (Sept. 9, 2024)/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Registration is now open for the storied Deluna’s Open Water Swim, On Saturday, April 12, Pensacola Beach will be awash with swimmers and firefighters from all over the country as they come to compete in two separate events on the island. The event this April drew 292 swimmers from around the U.S.
Pensacola Sports is also hosting the 2025Deluna Open Water Swim April 12, 2025 where hundreds of swimmers will take to the protected waters of the Santa Rosa Sound to compete in the .6-, 1.2-, or 2.4-mile swim. This race is a stop on the Speedo SALT Series, hosted by Salty Sports Society.

SAT, APR 12, 2025
6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. – Packet pick-up at Flounder’s Chowder House
7:30 a.m. – Swimmer Safety Meeting and Swimmer Check-In (Mandatory)
Every swimmer must check in with the event starter prior to the race
7:00 a.m. – Water opens for warm-up Open Water Swim
8:00 a.m. – 2.4 Mile Swim Begins
8:10 a.m. – 1.2 Mile Swim Begins
8:20 a.m. – .6 Mile Swim Begins
10:30 a.m. – Awards Ceremony at Start Line

- 2.4 mile male – Logan Robinson 50:56 (Just won the Men’s 200M Butterfly at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Canberra, Australia will also be swimming at FSU starting this fall)
