OOFOS Partners with 2025 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon to Introduce First-Ever Official Recovery Zone and Lounge
December 10, 2024
After they cross the finish line, runners and walkers can recharge and recover with OOFOS’ revolutionary footwear technology
PITTSBURGH (Dec. 10, 2024) /ENDURANACE SPORTSWIRE/ — P3R is proud to announce a new partnership with OOFOS, the global leader in Active Recovery footwear, as the Official Recovery Partner of the 2025 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon. This collaboration brings a recovery-focused experience to participants like never before, with exciting activations throughout race weekend to help participants rejuvenate and celebrate their achievement.
For the first time in Pittsburgh Marathon history, there will be an Official Recovery Zone and Lounge in the finish line chute and Finish Line Festival powered by Cleveland Brothers, offering participants a dedicated space to rejuvenate, recharge and enhance their post-race recovery experience. This specially designed area will feature OOFOS’ innovative footwear, known for its unparalleled benefits of impact absorption and stable support, helping to reduce stress on the feet, joints, and back—essential for post-race recovery. Additionally, the festival will offer activations and enhancements to help participants relax, socialize and celebrate as they kick-off their recovery with friends and family
“Our runners invest months of training and hard work to reach the finish line, and we want to give them every opportunity to recover well and enjoy their accomplishment,” said Troy Schooley, P3R CEO. “Partnering with OOFOS allows us to offer a premium recovery experience that truly sets the Pittsburgh Marathon apart, showing our commitment to supporting runners at every stage of their journey.”
OOFOS is known for its OOfoam™ technology, which absorbs 37% more impact than traditional footwear, helping athletes recover faster and feel better. The DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events is a perfect fit for this partnership, as the event continues to grow as one of the premier races in the country, attracting more than 40,000 participants each year.
“We are thrilled to bring OOFOS’ recovery technology to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, giving runners the opportunity to ‘feel the OO’ right after they cross the finish line,” said Jeremy Langton, Director of Events and Sponsorship Marketing. “Our goal is to help athletes feel better faster, so they can fully enjoy the celebration of their hard-earned achievement.”
Participants and spectators will be able to explore OOFOS’ recovery footwear at the Pittsburgh Health and Fitness Expo or visit the Official Recovery Lounge at the Finish Line Festival powered by Cleveland Brothers.
