One Day, Three Races, a World of Experiences

On 8 September, triathletes will take part in three very different races, surrounded by three diverse cultures on opposite sides of the world but united by the Challenge Family. Canada, China and Uzbekistan will host thousands of age group athletes, together with some of the biggest names in the sport, and a hefty prize purse.
/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – On 8 September, triathletes will take part in three very different races, surrounded by three diverse cultures on opposite sides of the world but united by the Challenge Family. Canada, China and Uzbekistan will host thousands of age group athletes, together with some of the biggest names in the sport, and a hefty prize purse.
The inaugural Challenge Beijing, raced over the non-drafting Standard (Olympic) distance, has attracted some of the biggest names in the sport, including World #2, Kyle Smith (NZL) and Olympic silver medalist, Julie Derron (SUI), and will feature a prize purse of US$100,000. In addition, over 1,000 age group athletes will compete at the home of the 2022 Winter Olympics, enjoying the Chinese culture and iconic nearby Badaling Great Wall. www.challenge-beijing.com
Uzbekistan has captured the imagination of two of the sport’s most recognisable names, Norwegians Gustav Iden and Kristian Blummenfelt, among others, who will race the Old Silk Road through centuries of history at Challenge Samarkand. This striking UNESCO World Heritage Area feature stunning historic Islamic architecture spanning thousands of years that is an integral part of this middle distance course. Finally, over 3,500 age group athletes will celebrate 40 years of triathlon at SAIL Challenge Esprit Montréal. Renowned for its flat, fast course, SAIL Challenge Esprit Montréal will feature four distances held in the Olympic Basin and on the F1 Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve at Parc Jean-Drapeau. www.challenge-espritmontreal.com
