World’s Original and Largest Oatmilk Company Going Halfway For Over 25,000 Runners At America’s Fastest Growing Race

Brooklyn, New York (January 24, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Oatly, the world’s original and largest oatmilk company, has been named an Official Partner of the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon, it was announced today by NYCRUNS and Oatly.

“We’re excited to welcome Oatly to the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon family,” said NYCRUNS Founder & CEO, Steve Lastoe. “The Brooklyn Experience Half has an authentic vibe, just like Oatly does. Have fun. Be healthy. Care for our planet. Those shared values make our partnership a perfect fit.”

“In the U.S., Oatly Original Oatmilk has about half the climate impact of comparable cow’s milk1 — so rather than sponsor a full marathon, we obviously opted for the coolest half marathon in the five boroughs,” shares Oatly North America’s EVP & Executive Creative Director, Michael Lee. “We are, however, more than half excited to join this year’s race, and help NYCRUNS’ runners fuel up, get out, and have a great time along the way.”

Featuring over 25,000 runners, the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon is America’s fastest growing race2. The course takes runners on an authentic Brooklyn journey through the iconic streets of NYC’s greatest borough. From hip and historic neighborhoods to world-class riverfront views, to the energy created by the city’s most bustling borough, it’s Brooklyn like it ‘oughta be.

Oatly will be providing support for runners every step of the “half” way, creating a more sustainable race experience from start to a great-tasting post-race recovery. As an official race partner, Oatly will be featured prominently in event branding and promotion as well as host a number of fun runner activations, from a half-way hub at the race’s mid-point and unique runner challenges along the course, to cool Finish Line surprises and post-race giveaways.

The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon started in 2011 as the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon with a few hundred runners in Prospect Park. The half marathon distance was added in 2018 and in 2023 the event became a standalone half marathon featuring a USATF-certified Brooklyn street course, transforming the event into a 13.1-mile authentic Brooklyn experience with 11,735 finishers. The race then exploded into a sold-out event in 2024 with a record 21,726 finishers.
