New Women’s Leader in Challenge Family World Bonus

Following the weekend’s Challenge Almere-Amsterdam there are some significant changes in Challenge Family’s World Bonus with a new women’s leader, Alanis Siffert (SUI) and the gap closing on men’s leader, Jack Moody (NZL).
/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Following the weekend’s Challenge Almere-Amsterdam there are some significant changes in Challenge Family’s World Bonus with a new women’s leader, Alanis Siffert (SUI) and the gap closing on men’s leader, Jack Moody (NZL).
Siffert’s performance in Almere not only saw her secure second place on debut over the long distance, but also enough World Bonus points to leap up the rankings into first place with 850 points, overtaking previous leaders, Aurelia Boulanger (FRA) and Els Visser (NED) who are now tied on 750 points in second.
While Moody maintains a healthy lead with 1,100 pints, Ognjen Stojanovic’s fourth place in Almere has seen him edge closer with 750 points and take second place ahead of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam champion, Jesper Svensson who sits in third with 690 points. A new addition to the top five is Joshua Lewis whose second place at Challenge Almere-Amsterdam has put him in at fourth with 610 points.
There are still seven Challenge Family races remaining on the 2024 calendar with points up for grabs with next up Challenge Sanremo on the Italian Riviera this weekend, followed by Challenge Vieux Boucau, Challenge Mallorca, Challenge Barcelona, Challenge Xiamen, Challenge Canberra before finishing with Challenge Florianopolis.

Challenge Family’s World Bonus provides professional athletes with the opportunity to race for a share of a US$100,000 end-of-season bonus on top of the prize purses at races. Points are available at selected Challenge Family and started with Challenge Israman in January and will end with Challenge Florianopolis in Brazil on 24 November.
