NASHVILLE, Tenn. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Nashville 1/2, Marathon & 6.15K presented by First Horizon Bank, produced by Run Nash, took place on Oct. 26. Almost 4,000 runners from around the nation ran through the heart of Music City on scenic routes that journeyed through local historic streets while also showcasing many of the city’s landmarks. This year, the Nashville 1/2 partnered with the American Cancer Society (ACS) DetermiNation Team. DetermiNation is the American Cancer Society’s event endurance program, spanning a variety of sports including running, cycling, hiking, yoga and more. Funds raised go directly towards cancer research through ACS. The 2024 Nashville 1/2 saw over 50 charity runners join the DetermiNation Team, raising a record-breaking amount of over $50,000 for ACS.

“This year we saw an incredible turnout of athletes from around the world,” said Malain McCormick, Owner and Operator of Run Nash, producer of the Nashville 1/2 presented by First Horizon Bank. “Putting on events that showcase our incredible city is something we love doing, and to see participants coming from all over to take part in our race is something so special.”
The 2024 race offered three distances, a marathon, half marathon and debuted its first ever 6.15K course, which spotlights the city’s original area code (615). All courses started and finished at First Horizon Park, home of the Nashville Sounds Baseball Team. The post-race festivities continued inside the park with the Finish Line Festival. The event’s multiple distances and two stroller start waves allowed runners of all experience levels and abilities to take part in the race day festivities. Along the course, runners enjoyed motivation miles, live music, DJs and more to help keep the energy high as they raced towards the finish line.
The event also partnered with Fleet Feet Nashville, the official training sponsor of the Nashville 1/2 presented by First Horizon Bank. The partnership encouraged participants to join the Fleet Feet Running Club and train with other locals ahead of race day to prepare together for a strong marathon, half marathon or 6.15K finish.
