July 20, 2024

Chelsea Bolton and Alex Wild take 100K win; Participants represented 32 states and three countries

Truckee, Calif. (July 20, 2024) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The 2024 Life Time Tahoe Trail MTB welcomed more than 700 cyclists to Tahoe’s Northstar Resort for a weekend of mountain biking adventure. Participants raced in one of two distances, either the 100 or 50-kilometer.

In a world-class recreation destination like Lake Tahoe, this event offered something for everyone. Participants ranged between the ages of 14 and 74 and traveled with their friends and family from 32 states and three countries to take part in the weekend festivities.

The races featured a 50-kilometer loop course filled with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, rocky summits and breathtaking pine forests in every direction. Cyclists faced nearly 4,500-feet in elevation gain per lap across flowing single-track trails and mountain Jeep roads. Once they crossed the finish line, participants celebrated with food, beverages, and live music at the finish festival in the Village at Northstar.

“Life Time Tahoe Trail MTB not only offers a challenging course, but also some of the most breathtaking scenery in mountain biking,” said Sarah Stutman, Senior Marketing Manager at Life Time. “This, combined with the spirit, grit, and determination we see from our athletes showcases the amazing community that is formed each time we get on two wheels. I can’t think of a better summer experience than a weekend in a unique race destination like Tahoe.”

Riders taking on the 100K course have the opportunity to earn one of 50 qualifier coins up for grabs for the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB presented by Kenetik in Leadville, Colorado.
