Missed The Boat For Etape Loch Ness 2025 Tickets? Saddle up For Charity With Macmillan Cancer Support

January 24, 2025

January 2025 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ –  Cycling enthusiasts hoping to secure a place in the 2025 Etape Loch Ness will now need to act with purpose as all general entry places for Scotland’s largest closed-road cycle sportive have officially sold out. However, there’s still an opportunity to take part while making a difference as charity places are available for those who pledge to raise funds for the event’s official charity partner, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Now in its 11th year, the Etape Loch Ness has grown to become a must-ride event for cyclists of all abilities, offering a spectacular 66-mile route around the world-famous Loch Ness. Riders will experience breathtaking views, a thrilling King of the Mountain section, and the rare opportunity to cycle on completely closed roads through the stunning Scottish Highlands.

Since its inception, the event has raised over £2.18 million for Macmillan Cancer Support, with the charity’s guaranteed places providing participants with the chance to ride with purpose. Cyclists signing up for a Team Macmillan charity place will not only secure their spot in this sought-after event but also help Macmillan be there for the 3m people living with cancer across the UK.

Malcolm Sutherland, CEO of Caledonian Concepts, organisers of the Etape Loch Ness, said: “We are delighted by the incredible demand for the 2025 event, and while general entry is now sold out, there’s still a fantastic opportunity to participate by riding for Macmillan Cancer Support. This event has always been about more than just cycling – it’s about community, camaraderie, and making an impact. We encourage everyone who missed out on a general entry spot to consider joining us to support this vital cause. Every pound raised truly makes a difference.”

Participants riding for Macmillan will tackle the scenic course, which includes a challenging 900-metre elevation gain and the iconic King of the Mountain climb. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a first-timer, the event promises an unforgettable experience.

To secure a charity place, riders are encouraged to pledge to raise a minimum of £150 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly.
