Mason Wright's Utah run supports struggling single parents

“Ultra running demands a lot of your skin,” explained the Single Parent Project’s favorite ultra runner, Mason Wright. “Long days in the sun. Mason’s epic Utah run began earlier this week. He is currently in the middle of completing this run and battling a nasty calf injury along the way. But he will not give up until the run is complete. The run spans eight days, but possibly more, depending on his health. The total mileage count is 430 miles, with the average daily mileage count at 55 miles per day. Mason will experience nearly 50,000 feet of total elevation change along the route.

But what’s most unique about Mason’s run is his purpose. He is hoping to raise $15,000 for the Single Parent Project. Mason was raised by a single mom, so the project really hits home for him. Mason reflects, “Single parents are amazing, I don’t know how they do it. Williams’ began training jiu jitsu nine years ago. Before that, she traveled halfway around the world to study yoga at an ashram in Lonavala, India.
