Chicago, Ill. (May 21, 2023) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – With more than 7,500 runners, Life Time’s (NYSE:LTH) Chicago Spring Half Marathon and 10K returned to Chicago, Ill. this Sunday, where runners welcomed spring while winding their way through the intimate and urban course featuring Chicago’s famous landmarks. Runners ranging in age from 13 to 81 years old and representing 44 states plus Washington D.C. and 31 countries took on the Junior, 10K and Half Marathon distances.

Runners toed the start line at 7 a.m. for the half marathon distance, followed by the 10K start at 7:45 a.m. The Junior Dash (ages 2-12) took place at 10 a.m., concluding the day’s races. Runners participating in the half marathon and 10K course ran along the Lakefront Path, giving way to sweeping views of Chicago’s famed skyline and Lake Michigan, the city’s historic museum campus and Soldier Field. The races finished at the famous Maggie Daley Park where participants, as well as, the general public, celebrated spring rejuvenation at the Spring Market Finish Festival with live music, vendors and a hot Chicago-style brunch.

The next Chicago road race put on by Life Time is the Chicago Half Marathon & 5k presented by Hoka, taking place September 24, 2023. The second event in the Life Time Chicago Half Marathon Series, the Chicago Half is Chicago’s most established and iconic half marathon and a perfect tune-up race for the famed Chicago Marathon. Starting and finishing at Historic Jackson Park, this race highlights Chicago’s South Shore, taking runners along Lake Shore Drive, while offering magnificent views of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s Skyscrapers.
