Marathon Tours & Travel announces further growth of expert team

Last month, the team announced the addition of four new members to its Manchester UK office, and now are excited to announce the continued growth of its Boston, US team where MTT was founded more than 45 years ago. The growth in the team is to ensure that our clients will continue to receive extraordinary customer service and at the same time be given more opportunities to achieve their athletic endurance aspirations.

Samantha White joins as the team’s Vice President of Operations, a new senior leadership team role based in the Boston, US office. Samantha has more than 15 years’ experience in the active adventure travel space, previously as Managing Director of the student travel brands StudentCity, Real Gap, and Trek America and most recently as North America Director for the adventure travel experts Explore Worldwide. In her spare time, she loves exploring new places, and enjoys walking, running, swimming and tennis.

Oliver Mack Jr takes on the role of Marketing Manager. A recent graduate of Syracuse University, with dual undergraduate degrees and a Master of Business Administration, he brings considerable marketing experience across multiple industries. A digital marketing specialist, Oliver possesses a suite of digital marketing skills, spanning across social media, advertising, web management and SEO and email marketing. With an innate passion for sports, Oliver is perfectly placed to lead on targeted marketing strategies, to help drive the brand to the next level.

Haley Sweet joins the team in the role of International Trip Designer. Her induction was being part of the MTT Host Team for the Berlin Marathon where we hosted close to 900 guests. Haley will manage our packages to London, Marrakech, Havana, NYC (United Airlines NYC Half), and Cape Town.

Additionally, alongside her role as Senior Trip Designer, Nicole Langone has taken on the role of Administration Manager. She recently celebrated 12 years with MTT and manages two of our largest trips, the Tokyo Marathon and BMW BERLIN-MARATHON.

Moving out of the role as Marketing Manager, Karen Hoch will continue with MTT as the new Business Development Officer working on strategic partnerships with International Tour Operators, enhancing the Seven Continents Club®, and securing sponsorships and partnerships for existing and new MTT events/products.

In addition to these new appointments, the Marathon Tours & Travel team is also looking to welcome a new Hotel Specialist, Administration Assistant, and an additional International Trip Designer. Details of all vacancies across the Destination Sport Group can be found here.
