London Marathon cancellation fears grow due to coronavirus

Four major marathons or half-marathons have been called off in Europe over the past three days. The Barcelona Marathon became the latest road race to be postponed or scrapped as a result of the outbreak that has thrown sport worldwide into chaos. The event, scheduled for next Sunday, was put back to October 25, just 48 hours after the Rome Marathon and Paris Marathon were both called off. The World Half Marathon Championships in Gdynia, Poland, were also postponed on Friday. Read more on The Telegraph.
