Local Run Clubs & J&A Racing Raise $3000 For Chartway Promise Foundation

July 23, 2024

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – On Saturday July 20, 2024, the community came together for a successful Community Run at Murphy’s Irish Pub in Virginia Beach. Run clubs from across the area joined forces to raise funds for the Chartway Promise Foundation, which provides support and wishes to children facing medical hardship.

Thanks to the generosity of participants and supporters, a total of $3000 was raised during the event. Additionally, J&A Racing has announced that they will donate the additional $2000, to cover the $5,000 cost of granting a local child a wish on behalf of the local running community.

The Community Run was a true testament to the power of coming together for a good cause. Participants of all ages and abilities laced up their running shoes to support a charity that makes a significant impact on the lives of children in need. Local companies and artists donated big ticket items to be raffled. Raffle tickets were sold with all the proceeds going to the Chartway Promise Foundation.

“We are honored to support the Chartway Promise Foundation and the incredible work they do for children in our community,” said Amy Frostick, co-owner of J&A Racing. “We are thrilled to partner with the local running community to help make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.”

Chartway Promise Foundation will present two wishes to children and their families during the Saturday and Sunday post-race party celebration at the Chartway Virginia Beach 10 Miler and 5K August 31 and September 1 at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
