INFINIT Nutrition Athlete Bradyn Lange Wins Chequamegon 40

Youngest male rider in the Life Time Grand Prix series takes first place in Chequamegon MTB Festival’s headliner event

Cincinnati, OH, September 27, 2022 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – INFINIT Nutrition athlete Bradyn Lange won the 2022 edition of the Chequamegon 40 in the men’s category, with a time of 2:05:54. The flagship event of the Chequamegon MTB Festival, the 40-mile race started in Hayward, Wisconsin, traveling through the picturesque Birkie Ski trail before finishing at the Great Hall in the Wisconsin town of Cable.

The 23-year-old is the youngest male rider in the Life Time Grand Prix series and took the top spot on the men’s podium in the penultimate leg of the off-road series, catapulting him to 14th place in the series standings. The victory even surprised the champion himself.

“We all got surprised with an unexpected pre-race downpour. No one was prepared for how muddy the course was. I played my cards right and found myself in the lead group of 4 with 10 miles remaining,” said Lange.

“I was able to ride the final muddy sections clean and slotted into 2nd behind Keegan Swenson. When Keegan Swenson crashed with 2 corners remaining I knew what I had to do. I put my head down and dive-bombed the final 2 corners and found myself crossing the line in first.”

Established in 1938, over 60 years before Bradyn was born, Chequamegon is the fifth leg of the six-race Life Time series. While racing conditions were ideal leading up to start, things quickly and drastically turned to muddy chaos when a large storm hit the area about an hour before race time. Maneuvering the unexpected complications, Lange emerged from the rain-drenched course the victor.

Next up for Bradyn and the Life Time Grand Prix is the final race of the series: the 100-mile Big Sugar Gravel on October 22 in Bentonville, Arkansas.
