iFit Trainer Ashley Paulson Wins First Place Female in Squaw Peak 50-Mile Trail Run
June 25, 2020
(LOGAN, Utah) — iFit Trainer Ashley Paulson was the first place female finisher in the Squaw Peak 50-Mile Trail Run, completing the race in 9:22:01. The loop course was held in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains on June 2, 2020 and is known for over 14,000 feet of challenging elevation gain and loss on primarily dirt trails and dirt roads.
This win adds to a long list of Paulson’s achievements, including 15 marathons wins with a personal best of 2:36:01, and placing first in the 2017 Oregon Double Anvil Triathlon, where she broke the course record by six hours. She also ran in the Olympic Marathon Trials in 2020. A favorite among iFit members, her extensive running and cycling knowledge and high-energy personality make her the perfect coach.
“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a successful running and cycling career that I feel very proud of,” Paulson said. “But the aspect of my professional life that brings me the most joy and satisfaction is teaching both seasoned and beginner runners and cyclists the skills that I’ve learned throughout my career.”
Paulson’s experience and knowledge are shared with iFit members during her iFit trainer-led workouts, where she virtually coaches runners and cyclists on the trails of Utah, along the streets of Japan, and through events like the Boston Marathon.
iFit, the leader in connected fitness, brings world-class Global Workouts and Studio Classes led by elite athletes, like Paulson, to iFit members’ homes. For those with iFit-enabled exercise equipment, like NordicTrack and ProForm, iFit technology automatically adjusts the speed, incline, decline, and resistance to match the natural terrain of the trail Paulson is following. By eliminating the need to adjust the exercise equipment’s controls, runners and cyclists can fully focus on the information and coaching Paulson shares.
Those without iFit-enabled equipment can still benefit from these workouts—simply download the iFit app, prop your smartphone or tablet onto your machine, and manually adjust the incline, decline, and speed to match your trainer’s instructions.
Pre-pandemic, Paulsen and the iFit crew travelled all over the world to shoot Fit Global Workouts, marrying the specific workouts such as incline training, tempo running or road racing, with a relevant and gorgeous location.
