A Dozen Blind Athletes, Including Ed Robichaud, Join a Running Field of 350
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – November 2, 2022 –/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ Beyond Limits Running today announced Ed Robichaud has been named the Honorary Race Starter for the 4th Annual Happy Hippie Harvest Run taking place November 5, 2022 at the non-profit Gilcrease Orchard in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Robichaud, who is blind, leads a field of nearly 350 runners, including over a dozen blind runners and their running guides.
Ken Rubeli, co-founder of Beyond Limits Running and co-race director of the Happy Hippie Harvest Run commented, “Beyond Limits Running was launched 11 years ago to give runners a chance to run beyond their perceived limits, tackling any and all obstacles to achieve personal success. Ed has inspired, motivated and grown the Southern Nevada blind community of runners and their running guides through his upbeat personality and infectious can-do attitude. By running through blindness, Ed has proven that most limits are subjective and should be tested. We’re blessed to have Ed as our Honorary Race Starter this year and can’t wait to watch him run beyond his personal limits as he chases a new 10K personal best time this weekend.”
Ed Robichaud, Board of Director of Las Vegas based Blindconnect, Inc. stated, “Even though the lights may be dimmed physically, for me it’s all about re-envisioning and re-defining the vision of passion, challenge, and thinking out of the box. I’ve become impassioned and empowered with participating in these races, continually challenging myself to go beyond limits. I am honored to be this year’s Happy Hippie Honorary Race Starter.”
