Hammer Nutrition Increases Support of Whitefish Marathon as Presenting Sponsor

Local connection and longtime partner brings new cash purse, benefits to race participants

WHITEFISH, Mont. (April 12, 2022)/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Whitefish Marathon is pleased to announce it has secured a multiyear partnership with Hammer Nutrition. A longtime partner since the inaugural event in 2008, Hammer Nutrition has increased its support for the race as its new presenting sponsor. Starting with its 15th annual event on Saturday, May 21, 2022, the race will be renamed the Whitefish Marathon Powered by Hammer. The endurance sports nutrition company will offer a new cash purse to podium finishers of the half and full marathons. In addition, Hammer Nutrition’s products will be featured throughout the event including on-course nutrition and hydration. Fueling clinics leading up to the event will help participants prepare for race day.

The Whitefish Marathon Powered by Hammer includes a full marathon, half marathon and 5K in Whitefish, Montana. The event, owned by The Wave Aquatic and Fitness Center, hit record-breaking attendance numbers in 2021, doubling the size of the previous record with more than 1,000 participants for the first time. The event is The Wave’s largest fundraiser for their scholarship program.

For the first time the Whitefish Marathon will provide a cash purse to the top finishers of the full marathon and half marathon thanks to the support of Hammer Nutrition. The race will offer podium finishers a $2,000 purse for the full marathon and a $1,400 purse for the half marathon.

The Whitefish Marathon started as a trail marathon in 2008, originally named the Two Bear Marathon. In 2017, the date shifted from September to May, and the course moved to paved streets as a Boston-qualifier event. Since the inception of the race, Hammer Nutrition has supported the event annually with product on the course, goodie bags, samples and prizes.
