GFNY Camps 2023: three dream destinations

The GFNY Camps at the Côte d´Azur, in Tuscany and the French Alps will offer riders the experience of a lifetime

New York City, October 14, 2022 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – GFNY Camps are for riders who look to enhance their cycling experience. During the guided and supported rides, the campers get to explore new destinations, meet like minded athletes from all over the world and enjoy the camaraderie of cycling together.

“Many of our riders travel from afar to our races so they want to make the most out of their trip,” says GFNY CEO Uli Fluhme. “Adding a week of riding before the race allows them to explore the area with knowledgeable guides and get ready for the race. And we make sure the rides are done by lunchtime so there is enough time to relax and enjoy other activities with non-riding friends and family members.”

Riders can choose from two spring and one summer camp:

The GFNY Camp Côte d’Azur (March 18-25, 2023) is based in the famous city of Cannes in the south of France. Cannes was just voted Europe’s Leading Event Destination 2022 which included GFNY. The camp combines cycling along the undulating roads of the French Riviera coast as well as on curvy hinterland roads made for cycling. The GFNY Camp Côte d’Azur includes a VIP entry to the GFNY Cannes race on the last day.

The GFNY Camp Tuscany (April 1-8, 2023) is based in the heart of cycling, Lucca, located between Florence and Pisa. The camp consists of 7 days of group riding with ample time to explore the highlights of famous Tuscany: Florence, Lucca, Pisa and more. Also known as the ‘Disneyland of Cycling’, cyclists will enjoy great weather, cycling fanatic locals and delicious food.

The GFNY Camp Alps Vaujany (August 20-27, 2023) is based in Vaujany, a charming mountain village in the French Alps surrounded by legendary climbs such as L’Alpe d’Huez, Galibier or Col de la Croix de Fer. Vaujany is the perfect host village with amazing facilities and incredibly beautiful surroundings. Over the course of the week, riders get climbing practice on many beautiful and famous climbs. The camps ends with the tough GFNY Alpes Vaujany race over 120km with 4000m of climbing.

GFNY World Championship NYC

The 11th annual GFNY World Championship New York will be held on May 21, 2023. The race features the world’s most international peloton with riders from over 90 countries. Athletes take on a challenging 100-mile route from NYC to Bear Mountain to Fort Lee to compete against each other, the clock and themselves in a personal endurance challenge.
