“In a time when chances to race your road bike are becoming more scarce than ever in the US, we’re excited to offer six competitive, fun and safe opportunities for our US athletes and fans of America from all across the globe,” says GFNY President Lidia Fluhme.
“These races are made possible by the host town support and Michelob ULTRA who help make sure that US cycling continues to grow back to where it should be. Mass participation races are – just like running marathons or triathlons always have been – open to anyone from beginner to pro and a chance to race alongside. Cycling is embracing this concept because of not only the rising public costs but also extreme difficulty to close roads. It’s also simply more fun to be able to compare yourself against everyone and be part of the same racing journey in a mass start, mass participation event.”
