The Region Confirms 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 & 5150

MONT-TREMBLANT, QUÉBEC, CANADA (July 31, 2023) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Since first joining the IRONMAN® circuit in 2012, Mont-Tremblant and its neighboring communities have become the triathlon community’s preferred destination, attracting top professionals and age-group athletes alike, here to race in Québec’s Laurentians every summer. As of 2024, Événements sportifs Mont-Tremblant and The IRONMAN Group announce they have mutually agreed that the focus will stay trained on the IRONMAN® 70.3® Mont-Tremblant triathlon weekend of races, which also includes the 5150™ Mont Tremblant. Following several discussions which began last spring, the decision was taken by mutual agreement that the full-distance triathlon will therefore be discontinued after its 2023 edition.

‘’We value the strong relationship with The IRONMAN Group and although this was not an easy decision, it was taken in the best interest of both their organization, and the Mont-Tremblant’s region,” said Marc Monchamp, Executive Producer at Événements sportifs Mont-Tremblant. “The IRONMAN events rapidly established themselves as flagship events in the region, with the entire community mobilizing to host them. The region and its welcoming infrastructure are extremely busy during peak periods, and to adequately serve the 5,000+ triathletes in attendance and those who accompany them, we have decided by mutual agreement to prioritize events that take place during the month of June.’’

“Our partners in the region are not just partners, they have become friends. We discussed this decision together for a long time now and could not be prouder of the relationship we have formed that allows for us to coordinate on our collective future’s. For many years to come, we look at the IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant and 5150 Mont-Tremblant events as an amazing experience for our athletes, volunteers, and staff alike,” said Dave Christen, Regional Director for The IRONMAN Group.

It is with great anticipation and enthusiasm that ESTM and IRONMAN and all its partners are looking forward to the 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant triathlon and 5150 Mont-Tremblant races. Registrations and details about the events can be found by visiting, www.ironman.com/im703-mont-tremblant.
