This time, successfully timing and orchestrating the 2023 IMT Des Moines Marathon & Half Marathon, the Principal 5K Race, and the Bankers Trust Marathon Relay, which saw unprecedented growth due to a cancellation of the Twin Cities Marathon.

Thousands of runners competed, traveling from all over the United States, including the male overall marathon winner, Abraham Kipkemei from Minnesota who finished with a time of 2:25:24 and female overall winner, Leah Rotich also from Minnesota who finished with 2:42:41.

The IMT Des Moines Marathon was recently voted ‘Best Iowa Marathon’ by RaceRaves. The race was incepted in 2002, and quickly became a fan-favorite. The event has provided a positive image of Des Moines as a place to live, work, and play for thousands of runners of all ages and abilities throughout the years. Registrants receive a finisher medal, event swag, on-course entertainment, a finish line festival, and chip-timed bibs provided by End Result to ensure accurate timing.
