The Atomo Star was designed by drawing inspiration from one of Diadora’s most successful models: the Mythos Star II. Its silhouette was adapted with a modern understanding of running shoe geometry and enhanced with advanced mechanical properties to meet the needs of the most demanding runners. This approach reflects how the essential elements of Diadora’s DNA and heritage continue to be revisited and refined, serving as an endless source of inspiration.

The Atomo Star’s high quality Italian craftsmanship is shown throughout the shoe in materials and fit that will keep runners feeling supported mile after mile. Lightweight & Cushioned Midsole

The Atomo Star features Diadora’s Anima N2 supercritical midsole compound and a 6 mm drop. Weighing in at 275 g, it offers an ideal combination of lightness, cushioning and energy return. The result is an optimally-balanced shoe, perfect for long runs where maximum comfort is essential and with enhanced responsiveness for harder efforts and faster paces. Besides ensuring comfort and optimal rebound, Anima N2 gives the shoe a reactivity of 72%, marking an increase of 40% and a weight reduction of 40% compared to EVA Light.

Key Materials

For a comfortable fit in the forefoot, midfoot and collar, the upper is made from breathable double-layered Air Mesh with an integrated Unitongue construction that incorporates the tongue to the inner layer. To withstand road elements and high mileage, the outsole is made with Duratech 5000, for high abrasion resistance making the Atomo Star the most reliable daily trainer.
